Do I need to schedule an appointment?
Yes, an appointment will make sure that we allow enough time to spend with you during your visit. However, we do accept walk-ins if there are openings for that day.
How soon can I get an appointment?
You should be able to get an appointment within 24 hours’ notice.
How long will my appointment take?
An appointment takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Do I need to bring a urine specimen for my pregnancy test?
No, you will be able to give your sample at the center.
What should I bring to my appointment?
You will need some kind of photo identification for our records. A driver's license or a student id works great. This information is kept confidential and is only used for internal purposes. If you want to bring the baby's father, a friend, or a family member you are welcome to do so.
Will you tell anyone that I came to Informed Choices?
No, we are committed to confidentiality for all our clients and we can not give out test results to anyone else but the client. In fact, we do not even release your records to a doctor without your direct consent.
How much do you charge?
All of our services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL, regardless of your income level.
Can I have an ultrasound?
If the nurse finds that it is necessary, she will absolutely arrange for an ultrasound scan for you. You must be between 6 and 13 weeks pregnant. We only do ultrasounds for pregnancy confirmation and to see if the pregnancy is viable. The ultrasounds that Informed Choices performs are not for prenatal care purposes, nor to determine the baby's gender or abnormalities.
